Why life has so much to offer...and how you can see it

I've recently come to realize something about life:

Without a purpose or without a motivation, you simply go NOWHERE. Or worse, you end up somewhere you don't want to be.

You need a direction in life to keep you on course and out of trouble and lead you into possible greatness.

Finding a purpose is finding something that you enjoy doing, something that you can get swallowed up by and allow it to encompass you completely, while you're doing it of course.

So much more the better when you can make a living doing so, wouldn't you agree?

I've seen people that i've grown up with lose their way and i have to admit that it's kind of sad.

These are people that i grew up with; these are people that i would play football with all hours of the day; these are people that i would sit outside with in the winter time AT NIGHT, and just sit there and talk about life.

Do you know anybody who might have taken a "wrong turn" ?

I really feel hat EVERYBODY needs a direction to move towards in life, some sort of ideal that you are constantly moving toward.

It's like a anchor, or a lighthouse in the middle of the big sea we call life, constantly shining brightly to let you know which way you have to go, which difrection you have to keep moving in.

I have my own ideals and motivations and i'm painfully aware of the fact that i might want to stick with these ideals forever. So what do i do?

I'll find a new ideal when these ideals have served their purpose and i have learned as much as i can from following them.

I feel that this may be one of the keys to staying young as long as you want to.

Look at how children approach every day. As if it were a COMPLETELY NEW DAY.

A kid approaches the new day with electricity and energy. They are thinking of all the possibilities for fun they can have.

Thinking about those possibilities is what gives us energy, passion, and the power to act and be brave.

Have fun,

Something occurred to me the other day...

It became quite clear to me that labels have amazing influence on our perception of people and things, especially at the subconscious level.

The labels we place on things determine how we perceive that thing, and quite often, the labels isn't even appropriate

Labels act as a sort of blinder or cover t a degree, because once we've labeled something as this or that, we tend to delete all the other neat attributes of the person or thing being labeled.

Take for instance the label " vegetarian". When you hear that word, what thoughts pop into your mind now? Do you personally know any "Vegetarians". I don't.

Do you know any "Whores". I do, depending on who you ask...

Do you tend to label people or things without giving them a closer look and waiting to notice all the neat talents and abilities said person has, despite having the label of xxx?

I'll admit, that i'm totally guilty of labeling people and things. However, after much experience, i've developed the habit of catching myself when I do it and direct myself to notice something about the person i'm talking with or thinking about.

Usually the process goes like this: "Oh, he's a Democrat" and instantly, every association that i have built up around that word for the time i learned it until now is attached to that person and that's it. The poor sucker is A Democrat, now and forever in my mind. And that label will cause me to interact with him in a certain way, even though I may not be consciously aware of it at the moment.

The awesome thing about labels is that they have the ability to trigger emotion and thoughts in others.

How many labels do you know?

How many do you use in a single day, that you are are aware of?

When's the last time you labeled someone?

Have Fun,

Amir

Winter days...

It's freaking cold!!!

You know it's cold when a person whose a self proclaimed winter person complains about it being cold...

It's like 5 below zero here in upstate new york and it's only getting colder.

This is the type of weather where the only things you can do are:

1) sleep,

2)have lots of sex until you end up like the guy from "scary movie" who bust a nut and turned into a skeleton

3)read and plan and organize your life so that this summer will be the best summer on record, until next summer of course...

4) Eating alot and fallign into a sort of hibernation state, which is what i'm doing right now. I plan to gain as much weight as possible and have fun doing it.

5) You tell me.

Winter days are perfect because you're actually forced to stay in the house, and in nature's imposed lockdown, you are kind of confronted with yourself.

Your deepest thoughts, the thoughts that you push to the side during the coruse of your daily life, seem to come forward with greater frequency during this time.

I think it's a good thing. Sometimes things and thoughts that we aren't even aware of will influence our day to day actions, and that can cause havoc.

One of the most important steps in changing a problem and developing healthy strategies that will help you move in the direction that you want to move in, is to become aware of those thoughts and attitudes.

Did you know that crime rates are proven to decrease during the winter? It's absolutely true. I think it's partly because no matter how dumb the dumbest criminal is, they know that there's not far they can go when their footprints are leaving a clear trail to their hiding place. I could be wrong, but then again, i'm always right.

So instead of just going stir crazy, you can take this time now to really take a inventory of yourself and the direction your moving in, and decide whether or not this is the direction that you want to move in, and if it's not, then make the appropriate changes and find the appropriate resources to help you move in the direction that you DO want to move in.

Drink lot of soups and warm liquids to help warm up body up from the inside. No, not just beer....

Have fun finding out things about yourself that you might not have been consciously aware of.

Qualifying Women...

There are many reasons why you want to learn to qualify women. One very important reason I can think of right now off the top of my head is COMPATIBILITY. You want to determine whether or not you and this woman will get along, and determine what things you have in common, if any.

Another very important reason you want to learn to qualify the women you encounter is to make sure that both you and her don't waste your time. How much would it suck if you were to have a sexual relationship with a woman and find out months later that she doesn't believe in god... and you do... Think about it for a minute and see how you might feel....

Qualifying women/men is a very important habit that you want to develop, as if you hadn't noticed that already....

Another important note on qualifying women: Don't overdo it!!! Let me clarify what I mean by that: Don't keep qualifying a woman after she's qualified herself to your satisfaction ie you have lots of things in common, as far as similar values and beliefs.

When you overdo the qualifying phases, it can put the woman under a sort of pressure that can be uncomfortable to say the least, especially if you haven't developed a steady and deep rapport with one another.

I've been on the end of qualifying overdone and let me tell you, it sucks. I don't think that this girls intentions were to "overqualify" me and in doing so, make me very uncomfortable.

Long story short, we met in a really awesome nightclub in London on a Saturday night and she called me the following monday. We spoke on the phone for about an hour, and let me tell you, it felt as if that was the longest hour of my life up to that point...

Have you ever felt like time seemed to slllllloooooooowwww wwwwwwaaaaayyyyy ddddoooowwwnnnnn, almost to the point where it seemed to stop....

After her first few questions, and after asking me if I was a vegetarian or if I drank regular milk, it became clearly obvious to me that she was screening me/qualifying me, which was okay, but it just felt more like an interview rather than a heart to heart conversation, partly because we hadn't spent anytime to together and developed any rapport.

I sure do appreciate the aggressiveness of the ladies in London, that's for damn sure.

My point is this: Make sure you have developed rapport with a man/woman before you qualify them. You want the other person to be comfortable because, after all, this may turn out to be something very special and you want to have a solid foundation on which to develop a relationship, whether it be sexual or monogamous.

You can develop rapport by matching physiology of course. This is subtly mirroring their body movements and gestures. You can also mirror breathing, although some people find that a bit challenging at first. However, as with all things, it's a challenge in the beginning until you practice noticing these things.

Once you start to pay attention to things like breathing and the gestures a person makes, it's starts become easier to match and mirror.

There are tons of ways to easily gain rapport with the person you choose.

The only thing that matters is that you have fun learning and discovering all the neat ways you can do that. Now...

Have Fun,

Amir
