Does your current level of maturity influence the places you feel you want to be?

Are you feeling yourself DRAWN to a particular locale or environment these days?

They say home is where the heart is.

Maybe your heart lies in..

CHINA?

or

France?

OR

London?

You may live in California, but some reason you can't YET explain, Australia is calling out to you.

What do you do when you feel the PULL of a distant land tugging at you, popping up in your daydreams?

Most people ignore that PULL...

And..

You have some brave souls that FEEL THAT PULL and choose to follow it where it leads them.

Which one are you?

"You don't know me YET..."

Meeting new people can be a challenging... challenge for some people.

However...

You need to realize something VERY IMPORTANT if you want to make all the friends that your cell phone can store...

Your Current Friends Were once Strangers to you, and you to them!!!!

You didn't know them like you know them now, and they didn't know you like they now know you...

Now....

What if you were to say this to yourself anytime you were ready to walk up to a complete "stranger" and make a comment about something going on in the environment you happen to find yourself?

How much easier would it be to walk over tot that person and say what COMES TO MIND?

STOP for a moment and THINK ABOUT THIS...

What is it about your friends that caused you talk to them in first place?

What did you see?

What did you hear?

What did you Feel?

Don't you think it's possible that there are an INFINITE number of people in the world that have the SAME EXACT characteristics as the friends that you have RIGHT NOW?

Now...

Here's the most important thing that you need to KEEP IN MIND...

Are you ready to increase the number of acquaintances you have RIGHT NOW?

Do you really want more friends?

Can you IMAGINE how your life would be if you were to have 5 more friends than you have right now? Can you really STOP and IMAGINE what that would be like....

Can you imagine how much more fun you'll have when you start to talk to the "Strangers" around ( the none dangerous ones, of course...lol)

Stranger = A person that you have taken the time to get to know more intimately.

I know it's a bit of a stretch for most of you, and when you think about people LIKE THIS, then you'll notice how your perception of the people around starts to change.

Have fun making new friends:)

Is it better to...

These are eternal questions, meaning that years from now, when I'm dead and gone and this webpage is long forgotten, someone looking for something... will stumble on it and ask themselves these questions, and that part of themselves that knows everything will give them the right answer for them...

Is it better to tell someone how you really feel or is it better to tell them what they want to hear?

In order to answer that question you have to ask yourself THIS question:

"Do I CARE how this person feels about me?" OR " Will this person' perception of me impact my life in any major way?"

They are two very POWERFUL questions, and when you ask yourself them, the answers can quite literally change your life FOREVER.

Another related question, which may be more important than the previous two is this:

"Whose opinion matters to me the MOST?"

Again, the answers can have profound impact on your life as it is now. It may change for the better, or it may change for the worse. The important thing to realize here is just ASKing yourself these questions, even if it it's just mentally (internally), will provide you an ANSWER.

The thing about questions is...

We don't like to ask certain questions because we don't want to know the answer. We THINK we want to know, but upon knowing, we wish we didn't know what we know now.

Got that yet? If not, go back and reread the above. It's very important to understand what i'm saying.

Have you ever asked a question and DEMANDED to know the answer, only to wish you never knew it after you asked it?

Why is that we do that?

What do you do with the answer once you ask the question?

Like Jack Nicholson said: " You can't handle the truth!!!"

Let's update that a bit, shall we?

"Don't ask the question if your not READY to handle the truth."

I like that much better, don't you?

Now...

What questions are you wanting answers to? Are you ready to handle the truth? Are you absolutely CERTAIN? What would have to happen for you to become ready to handle the answers you get? How will your life change when you have your answers?

Questions, Questions, Questions...

Curiouser and Curiouser...

NOW...

Back to the original reason for this post:

Is it better to tell someone how you REALLY feel, or it better to them what you THINK will make them feel better?

As I said before, these are ETERNAL, TIMELESS, EVERLASTING questions, so when I'm long gone and experiencing UNIMAGINABLE pleasures to Thongita heaven, people can still come here and answer these question for themselves.

Can you imagine having the answer to every question that you have YET to ask yourself? How good what that make you feel?

Can you find the strength in yourself to handle the truth?

Can you ask yourself those questions that people are afraid to find out the answers to?

Have you ever heard the saying: " The only stupid question is the one that you don't ask..."

WHAT IF...

The universe has a reward in store for the person whose brave enough to ask those questions that know one else wants too answer...

Good night:)

QUOTE OF THE DAY!!!

"When Alcohol flows in, emotions flow out..."

Andrew Salter, " Conditioned Reflex Therapy"

I read that quote today and I had to share it. It makes sense, when you stop and think about it. When most people have drink or two, they start to become relaxed and they say things that they normally wouldn't say.

Science has proven that alcohol helps decrease our inhibitions. In other words, alcohol tends to promote activities that we wouldn't do if we were sober.

My nephew has a really neat saying that makes sense when I look back on those times when I got really sauced:

"Drunk words are Sober Thoughts..."

Can you remember(partially at least) a time when you were REALLY drunk and you did something while you were drunk and you regretted doing it...or them? I'm sure you can vaguely remember a time like that right now...

Alcohol in moderation is actually a good thing. EVERYTHING in moderation is a okay. Chocolate in moderation is okay. The key is to realize when you've had enough and to know when it's time to put the twinkie down...

The next time you get extremely drunk... you're going to remember what you've read here, and as you're in the process of doing something that you know you'll regret in the morning... you'll say to yourself:

"Man, Amir was right... I know i'm gonna regret this, but.. who gives a @#@$%!"

Here's something neat you can do:

BEFORE you get drunk, tell yourself that your going to allow yourself to relax and have fun. Tell yourself to let loose and trust your feelings. Notice what happens the next day.

Sometimes, Our conscious mind can be too restrictive in what it allows us to do...or not do. A little alcohol can literally loosen the tongue and you'll find yourself saying things that you inhibit yourself from saying when you're sober, for whatever reason. As your sitting there, drinking your beer or whatever spirits you imbibe, imagine all the fun you're going to have tonight.

Have fun this weekend... I know I will....:)

When it comes to exercise...

LISTEN TO YOUR BODY!!!

We all know bye now that exercise is necessary to a life filled with energy and vitality.

However...

The word "exercise" seems to elicit various images and emotional reactions in people. Some good, some bad.

I say, let's break down what "exercise" really means, okay?

In order to do this, we have to take a look at what happens when we "exercise". We're usually moving around and breathing harder and faster when we exercise, right?

I know I can think of at least one activity that I really enjoy that get's me breathing harder and faster... and it's even more fun when you do it with a group of people...

Well, STOP and think about this for a moment...

Have you ever noticed how your breathing changes when your doing something you enjoy?

Have you noticed how you feel INSIDE when your doing something that you really enjoy doing?

Does exercise really need to make you sore and cause you to limp around in pain for a few days? I personally don't think so at all.

What would happen if FROM THIS MOMENT ONWARD, you start to think of exercise as merely being ACTIVITY, movement. When you look at like this, what kinds of activities can you do that will allow you to move around AND have fun?

While we're on the subject, Let's do something about the word "diet". That word brings to mind all sorts of mental pictures and emotional reactions.

For those people that have constantly gone back and forth with many "diets", there's a certain emotional reaction.

For the first time dieter, there's a certain emotional reaction. Can you guess which group experiences which emotional reaction? If you think you know the answer, then leave a comment and let me know what you think. I'd love to have some feedback here:)

Instead of Dieting, Wouldn't it be much better when you start to speak in terms of eating habits? After all, when you really STOP and THINK ABOUT IT, isn't a diet basically what we call it when a person changes their eating habits? Change your eating habits and you change your body and energy levels for the better. Sounds good? Good.

Anyway...

When it comes to ACTIVITY, listen to your body and do what feels good to YOU. It is absolutely possible to do some sort of activity everyday. The key to consistency is to listen to your body and plan your activity according to the way your body FEELS.

I LOVE lifting weights, HOWEVER, there are some days when i just feel like lying on the floor and stretching out those tight muscles.. allowing that tension to just melt away...allow those feelings of warmth and relaxation to flow wherever they want to...

And then there are those days when I feel like sprinting, so I take my ass to the woods and I sprint as if there's a school bus full of College cheerleaders...

It's all about paying attention to the way you FEEL and then acting accordingly.

One thing that really helps me focus in on what activity to do is to ask myself " what do I feel like doing right now?"

The answer I get is the activity I do.

If you feel like anything I said makes perfect sense to you, then feel free to go back up, print out this blog, and underline anything that you find helpful.

One very helpful thing to do is to pay attention to the way you feel BEFORE and AFTER an activity. When you notice how you feel BEFORE, then you have a baseline with which to compare how you feel AFTER the activity. If you feel better AFTER the activity than you did BEFORE, then that's generally good.

If you feel worse AFTER than you did BEFORE you performed the activity, then you need to do some resorting and some contemplation to come up with new activities to do.

If all else fails, then get out of the house and GO GET LAID(Use protection). It's the most fun activity I can think and It's the perfect combination of aerobic and anaerobic conditioning, and the release of feel good chemicals is so ADDICTING that you may just find yourself in awesome shape almost overnight!!! However, sex, like anything else, requires CONSTANT REPETITION before you will see results, and..

There's an extremely low drop out rate as well...:) Those who do drop out probably do so because they don't want to get into shape too fast...:)

Anyway...

Take Care,

"Why did I eat that?"

Most common answer...

"Because it was the only thing in the house!!!"

I was sitting on the couch watching "Twilight" for the 50th !@#$%ing time with my nieces, and I got a small case of the munchies.

For some odd reason, I felt COMPELLED to reach for the open bag of Lay's chips that we have lying around here. As soon as I looked at the bag, I felt the craving inside of me... Sometimes I feel like my appetite is like a Hungry, Ravenous wolf... and My conscious mind.... the part of me that knows better... the part of me that knows that this isn't healthy.... the part of me that is normally in complete control... loses it's grip for one instant and....

GULP!!!

I've gone through 3 0r 4 handfuls of Lay's, and my lips and hands are greasy, and consequently, my shirt and pants follow suit ( Remember, I'm still a guy, so I'm entitled by the forces of the universe to be sloppy...)

Have you ever felt compelled to eat something that you KNOW you shouldn't eat.... I think we all have that one food that sort of MAKES YOU HUNGRY when you LOOK at it... It's like, you're looking at that one food, and all of a sudden, you find yourself salivating uncontrollably... and the more you resist the urge to dig and enjoy, the more you find yourself CRAVING this food....

NOW....

What can we do about that?

One thing that helps is to realize that it's okay to eat certain things in moderation. If you want some fries, go ahead and eat them, and pay attention to how much you eat.

One other thing that can help is to REALIZE that you crave those so called " dangerous foods" because of the fat content. It's the fat in foods that gives it that creamy... delicious texture. Fat is satisfying, so we naturally want to eat it. That's one of the reasons why we like ice cream so much, because of the RICH, CREAMY feeling we get from eating. Fat floats when it gets into your stomach, and is the last thing to be digested.

Another that really helps is to STOP... and take a few deep breaths... in through the nose.... and out through the mouth, about 5 or 6 times. This will help you clear your mind and give you the willpower to MAKE A BETTER CHOICE. in the food you eat.

One thing that really helps is when you BECOME AWARE of the fact that many times when you THINK you are hungry, your body is actually telling you that YOUR THIRSTY.

So...

The next time you feel a uncontrollable urge to eat that food that you KNOW you shouldn't eat, keep in mind your fitness goals and ASK YOURSELF:

"Is this going to help me become fitter, leaner, and stronger?"

If the answer is no, then ASK YOURSELF:

"What else can I eat that is healthy and will help me become fitter and leaner?"

Listen closely to the answers you get and take action on them. If you have to HOP IN THE CAR and go to the grocery store, then so be it. What's more important: The gas your going to put into your car or.... The gas your going to put into your body?

NOW...

Another thing that you want to pay attention to is portion sizes and their effect on your ability to function properly. Are there certain foods that cause you to feel sluggish or sleepy AFTER you eat them? Do you notice this sluggish FEELING after eating a meal of a certain size?

If you notice that you feel sleepy after a meal, notice the portion size and make adjustments. Reduce and increase the portion sizes of each macro nutrient(Protein, carbs, Fats) until you find the right portion size for YOU.

Good health and consistently high energy levels are mainly dependent on knowing what foods energize you, make you feel sleepy, in what quantity they make you feel sleepy or energized, and portion size. It's also a matter of experience and experimentation.

I have a friend that gets sleepy everytime he eats a meal that he considers heavy. That's so not cool when you have to travel 20 miles back and forth to turn people's electricity on/off.

When you understand what makes your body feel energized and what doesn't, then you move one step closer to unlimited energy and vitality.

"old" people as a wellspring of knowledge and Wisdom

That word... "old"... I've never really liked that word because it's so limiting and there are so many labels attached.

"old" usually means "worn out" for some people. It's usually associated being no longer fun ie " This is getting really OLD..."

Have you ever said a word OUT LOUD so many times that it seemed to lose all meaning?

We need to do that with this word here.

Now...

I truly believe that this it's all dependant on your state of mind and your attitudes towarda aging. We all will age. It's inevitable. But I believe that just because we AGE, it doesn't necessarily mean that we have to be old.

There are 79 year "OLDS" that jog DAILY. DAILY!!!! Sometimes I find it hard to jog twice a week, if I'm Lucky. Now, whose "old"?!?!?!

If you haven't realized it yet, you need to understand that so called "OLD" have an ASTONISHING amount of experience to share with everyone. They've seen and done things that some of probably only dream about. Now... the question is... how can we gain access to that AMAZING wellspring of information??

Well...

Maybe we can ASK THEM!!!!

If you have a burning question and you want an answer, then find someone that looks experienced and pose your question to them, and ask them how they would go about it. If your lucky, they'll share with you a neat story.

Hey, you'll be giving them something as well: You'll be helping them to remember something that was long ago forgotten and might have been treasured memory for them. Treasured memories are a part of what makes like worth living.

How many memories do you have that make you smile when you sit down and think about them?

Have fun,

Amir Campbell
