are you making this common mistake when you train your biceps.

Biceps.

Guns.

Pythons.

The corny names go on add nauseum and if I didn't have to be at work in the next 40 minutes, then I'd probably add in a few more.

Despite the corny names, training your biceps properly will dramatically increase your ability to unleash your true strength potential.

Anyway, One common mistake that most people make when they perform a bicep curl is to curl the dumbbell up to a almost complete O degree angle, which looks like this:

i i
i i
i i
ii
i

This is dumb. It puts pressure on the elbow joint, which over time will lead to chronic pain.

Now, why would a person do something so dumb?

Well, I guess the intention is to increase the maximum contraction of the bicep muscle.

That's not how it works.

When you squeeze the muscle past either TO or past that angle, then the bicep muscle actually RELAXES, so you don't get the benefit of increased contraction.

You don't get any benefit PERIOD.

So, how can you start to curl the dumbbell to a more efficient angle and develop more strength and keep your elbow joint working perfectly into old age ( nowadays, old age is 20 something's....)?

Well, you can start by reading the above sentence again until something Jumps out at you and you really get it and let it...sink in...

Or I can just spare the couples that you could have used to come to the logical conclusion which is in the damn sentence... and just show you...

When you curl a dumbbell, you want to curl to about a 30 - 40 degree angle, at which the bicep is forced to undergo the maximal contraction. A 40 degree angle looks like this:

I i
i i
i i
i i
i i
i i
i i
i i

Never ever close or squeeze the elbow joint completely shut... or you'll gonna have to be doing you bicep curls in your imagination.

Use your time wisely....

If you have certain goals that you want to accomplish, then you absolutely must use your time effectively.

Make every hour count.

When you stop and think about it, The average person has about 12 hours during which they are awake. Never mind the fact that we are asleep for a major part of our lives, during our subconscious minds are given free reign to help us assimilate all the experiences of the past day and repair our muscles and other organs.

Much of our daily life is spent running on auto pilot, meaning that we are slaves to our habits, whether they are productive or not so productive.

The key is to WAKE UP... Snap out of the many useless trances of the day... and get some important s@#$ done... Work on that book for an hour... go for that walk that you've been putting off for YEARS now.... Take that money you've been saving in your shoebox and put it into a Roth IRA or a CD or by bonds or an Interest bearing savings account...

Are you starting to see my point?

Do something with the time you have.

Time flows much like a river... once that stream flows over the cliff, it's gone.

Sincerely,

Amir

Have you created your new years resolutions yet??

A new year is coming....

It's a going to be a time to set new goals and achieve new success...

It's that time of year when you can Let go of the past.... and Move forward to the new and exciting.

In a way, for many people, The new year is like being "born again".... it's as if you're being baptized... with a Kind and loving priest holding you gently under water as you... hold your breath.... and allow the cool, clean water to wash away all the sins of the past... and to hold onto the lessons you've learned and allow them to guide you in your daily life forever and always...

But enough of that good stuff.

One common new years resolution that most people make is that "I promise that I'm going to workout and lose weight so I can look good in my bikini/thong/butt ass naked when I'm on the beach in Hedonism..."

Many people get the ball rolling and they start their routine and they even workout regularly, until suddenly, for some mysterious reason, they fall off their routine and it suddenly slips into the background of their mind, much like when you put something up in the attic, with all the other things that tend to fade away into nothingness...

Then, the guilt feelings pop up. Suddenly, thoughts start to run through your head, like:

" I really wanted to stick with my workout routine, but I don't have the time and energy..."

Well.... After having received my personal trainer's certification in 2009 and working with family and clients, I've discovered the core underlying reasons why people fall off their exercise programs. I've addressed those issues in a very informative and fun-to-read book I'm callin...

Secrets of How to Be Your Own Personal Trainer!!!!

Imagine.... having your own Personal Trainer in the palm of your hand...

Imagine... having a personal trainer handy ANYTIME, ANYWHERE you go, even when you're on vacation and you want to stay in shape...

What would it be like if you could always have unstoppable motivation and Unlimited enthusiasm for getting and staying the shape that YOU always want to be in....

Well... if I were to tell you that your own perfect personal trainer is much closer than you can even imagine, how compelled would you be to actually pay attention and learn more?

Being a Personal Trainer, I realize the value of being healthy and fit. I realize that having a body that has lots of energy packed inside of it allows a person to enjoy life and to savor all the fun and excitement that life has to offer... Now...

I realize that many people want to be in better shape and feel better about their bodies, but they might not have the money to spend on a Personal Trainer, or they may feel that they might not have the time. These are perfectly understandable concerns.

Many Personal Trainers charge high prices for their services and for good reason: they are good at what they do and they demand adequate compensation. However....

How would you feel if I were to tell you that You can become your own Personal Trainer... and motivate yourself to reach new levels of health and wellness....

There's something that you absolutely must realize about yourself: You know yourself better than anyone on the planet. No one knows YOU better than YOU,

In my new book, "Secrets of how to become your own personal trainer!!", I teach you how to easily take advantage of your self knowledge and use it to become healthier and fitter than you have ever been in your entire life.

And what's more, you can do it for a tiny fraction of what a personal trainer may charge you to train with them. Believe me, I know what I charge for a session, and I also know how easy it is for a person to learn to work out safely and properly. Now..

The question that you absolutely must ask yourself is:

"Would I rather pay 20 dollars ONE TIME and learn how to motivate myself properly and effectively for the REST OF MY LIFE, or...

...would I rather pay up to 90 dollars PER SESSION to learn how to exercise?" You have to realize that many trainers charge MORE than that for a 1 on 1 session. If you have that type of money to spend, then more power to you...

But, in the current state of our economy, smart people will find a way to save money and get in shape at the same time. Many people are worried about where they can find extra income to take care of their families and loved ones.

You see, you can have all the equipment in the world and you can even have access to the best personal trainer on the planet, but if you constantly make excuses to miss your personal training sessions, then all that equipment and that amazing personal trainer aren't going to help you get in better shape, now, are they?

There's something that my mother always says to me and I believe that she may be tapping into some deep and ancient wisdom when she says it:

"Health is the greatest Wealth..."

This is something that I share wit family members and clients alike.

In this One of a kind, never before released book, you'll learn:

* How to choose the right kind of exercise for YOUR personality!!
* How to easily motivate yourself!!!
* A powerful and simple technique for reducing cravings that works so well that you have to be absolutely certain that you no longer want to eat this food...
* If you currently have a gym membership, then you absolutely must read this to take full advantage of it!!
* How to find your perfect personal trainer!!!
* How to create your "Encyclopedia of fitness"!!!

You'll learn all of this and so much more!!!

For the ONE TIME payment of 20 bucks, you can have the power to transform your body and develop an iron will... in the palm of your hand!!!

Just think of all the money you'll save when you can tap that immeasurable well of willpower and determination lying in side of your right now....

Are YOU making this common Thanksgiving day mistake???

It's that time of the year when you get together with friends and family and gives thanks for everything that you are grateful for in your life....

It's also the time when you look at that turducken lying before you on the table.. and you give it the eye of the tiger... and you pray for mercy for the poor bastard.

If you're like most people, you usually don't eat anything for the entire day before thanksgiving dinner, which is most likely around 5pm or 6pm.

Well, here's the thing:

When you skip a meal, your appetite becomes more and more ravenous. Now, that's not usually a problem, however on thanksgiving...

It can be a major problem.

Why is it a major problem?

Well, when you think about all the things that you're going to devour, then you realize how big a problem it can be.

Keep in mind that your metabolism works the best when it has a steady supply of food throughout the entire day, usually 5 small meals a day to keep your energy levels stable and prevent that dreaded crash that everyone seems to experience.

On thanksgiving day, it's customary to eat just one huge meal and then plop back and open the belt buckles.

Now, what can you do about it?

Well...

1) You can exercise 30 minutes in the morning to prime your metabolism so that you can feel good about eating all that good food.

2)You can eat small snacks throughout the day to alleviate hunger.

3) You can remember that the main purpose of thanksgiving is to be with family and have fun.

Hope this helps you stay trim throughout this holiday season.

Sincerely,

Amir

A workout routine that you can customize right now!!!

High:)

In case you don't know yet, I'm certified as a personal trainer and I love working out.

I've created a sample routine from which you can pick and choose and get into awesome shape in 20 minutes a day... or less.

You can check out it right now by going here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBxk6ppG_Jg

Many personal trainers will schedule a client for a 1 hour and have them do the same exact things that could be done in 30-40 minutes.

One example of this is Long and slow cardio. This is basically any cardio activity that you do for 60 minutes or more.

I have nothing against cardio, as there is compelling evidence that it can lower your LdL cholesterol levels, or the "bad" cholesterol.

I'm all for using your time wisely and getting the most results in the least time.

That's a topic for another article...

You can check out this sample routine by visiting my Youtube channel. If you want, take some notes and start training today.

Here's the link again just in case you missed it:

Haters

I usually don't give this topic too much thought, as I truly believe in living a "hurtless and helpful life". I do my best to spread sunshine( among other things...) whenever I can.

But, as you may be keenly aware of there, There are those people around you that may not like your very presence.

Can you imagine a person not liking you because of who you are?

It sucks, but it happens.

In my long 28 years of life, I've learned a few things:

1)If you offend someone, whether intentionally or unintentionally, then you've got yourself an enemy.

2) No matter what you do, there are ALWAYS going to people who dislike you simply because YOU ARE YOU. Sad but true.

But here's the really awesome thing:

If someone is hating you on, then you must be doing something right.

Here's a small clip of Katt Williams, who discusses the subject with grace and humor.

Enjoy:)

Pushups... the possibilities are endless...

I was bored one day, sitting around the house, and I mysteriously felt the urge to make a video describing the awesome benefits of push ups.

Pushups, like all body weight calisthenics, are excellent substitutes for using free weights and other equipment.

The name of the game is progression.

We have gravity as one of the variables that we can control to increase the difficulty of any bodyweight exercise.

Decline pushups are a excellent example of using gravity to increase the load on the working muscles and thus provide increased resistance without weights.

Although I don't go into decline pushups on this video, I can easily make a video for everyone whose interested in them to build a massive chest in a very short time.

Here's the video, watch it now and enjoy!!!

Secrets of rejuvenation for women

For Older Women ONLY: Secrets of youthful rejuvenation!!!

Do you remember what it was like when you were young and filled with energy and you could eat everything you wanted and still stay slim and trim?

If you’re in your 40 or fifties, you may have noticed a few things about your energy levels:

1) You probably don’t have the same energy levels that you had when you were in your teens and twenties.

2) You probably have more fat on your body than you do muscle.

There are many reasons why we tend to gain excess weight as we age:

1) Bad eating habits

2) A sedentary lifestyle

3) Decline of growth hormone release

4) Eating too many sweets, which causes your body to release the HORMONE Insulin, which suppresses the release of Growth Hormone, and also ENCOURAGES the STORAGE of FAT. ( I bet you didn’t know that Insulin was a hormone, did you?) We’ll talk more about Insulin as you continue to read this article.

You have Growth Hormone (GH) to thank for that. Our bodies release GH the most when we are in our teens and twenties. When we hit our 30’s, our production of GH starts to decline a little bit each decade.

So you may be asking yourself: “What are the benefits of Growth Hormone?”

Well….

In your teens, if you were fairly active, you probably looked like this:

The woman in picture above Is “muscular” without being bulky, like a man. This is totally different from just being a “skinny chick”. You can be skinny and not have developed muscles.

Below, you’ll find another example of young women who have lean muscles and high metabolisms. Notice the development of their… glutesJ:

A typical skinny chick has this type of body:

Now, when you compare this girl’s body type to the women above, you’ll see the differences. Not bad, but she could definitely benefit from a few personal training sessions to increase her muscle mass and ignite her metabolism.

However…. Now that you’re in your 40’s and 50, you’re probably starting to look like this:

Or this:

Now, you have your declining production of GH to thank for this…metamorphosis.
Please understand this now: our abilities to store fat re a gift, because in times of famine, our bodies will liberate those fat stores and provide us with energy. In addition, fat helps insulate us and keep us warm.

But, there is such a thing as too much...

You see, when you’re young, GH is naturally and easily released by doing moderate activity. Whatever “moderate” means to you.

As we grow older, exercise doesn’t “do” what it’s supposed to. Especially in women. For women, it gets harder and harder to build lean muscles… and it’s much easier to increase fat stores.

Estrogen is the cause of fat storage. Being women, you have tons of estrogen.

Now.

There are many women that are active and in their 40’s and 50’s. That’s awesome and I respect that. However, the majority of women that exercise regularly tend to favor long and slow duration (LSD) cardio over resistance training, and when they do use free weight and barbells to train, they tend to do tons of reps to develop more “tone”.

Well, here’s the thing:

1) Long slow duration cardio causes your body to utilize Carbs, fats, AND proteins for energy to sustain the activity. Let me put it to you like this:

How many joggers have you seen are ripped, unless of course, they’re young and therefore have advantage of GH on their side?

Doing this type of cardio will definitely cause you to lose weight… but your body will end up DEVOURING everything is can get it’s hands on to sustain the activity. A general rule of thumb for any cardio is:

“ The longer it is, the easier it is…”

2) Any weight that you can lift 20 times or more easily, and thus develop “tone”, is TOO DAMN EASY. This easy weight doesn’t provide enough stimulus of your muscles to cause them to grow. One major reason, albeit ridiculous, that most women tend to train for “toning” is because they fear that they might bulk up “like a man”. That is total…

(This is Bullshit, buy the way….:)

A normal woman can’t possibly produce as much Testosterone as a normal man, so she can’t possibly end up looking like this:

Or this:

So, what’s the answer for a older woman who wants to rejuvenate her body and start building muscle like she did in her 20’s? Fear not, because science has come to the rescue, as always…

Heavy weight training and Intense cardio (short duration). It’s been scientifically proven that Heavy weight training and High Intensity Cardio can stimulate your pituitary gland to release more GH, and thus increase your ability to build muscle and burn fat.

1) When I say “heavy” weight training, don’t think that you need to train like Arnold Schwartzeneggar to see amazing results (if that’s how you want to train, then go for it:J

You do however, need to increase the size of the weight you’re using and decrease the reps.

So, let’s say for instance that you used to curling a 4 pound dumbbell 20 times with ease. What you’re going to do is STOP THAT RIGHT NOW… and you’re going to increase the size of the weight to 10-12 pounds.

Once you’ve done that, you’re going to curl that weight 8-12. You’ll find that at this poundage, this is going to be a perfect number of reps.

The same goes for all the other muscles groups that you happen to work in your workout (which you should be doing, by the way). If you train in a gym and you’ve never increased the amount of weight that you bench press, then ask for one of the gym attendants to give you a spot. They’ll be happy to do it.

If you train by yourself, then increase the weight slightly until you find a weight that you can rep about 12 times safely and while maintaining proper form.

Speaking of curls, I personally feel that it’s a waste of your time and mine to “just do a set of curls”, simply because there are so many good compound exercises out there that can train many muscle groups at one time. A good example of a compound exercise is the bench press. Another perfect example of a compound exercise is the barbell squat.

Another simple reason why you want to focus on compound exercises is because the more muscles that you exercise, the more those muscles and your body demand oxygen, and them ore oxygen your body uses, the more fat you burn!!

You’d have a very hard time doing this with just curls, because curls only work the biceps and the biceps aren’t really a major muscle group, compared to the lats and the quads and the hamstrings and the pecs and the glutes.

Besides working more muscles and increasing your bodies’ ability to release growth hormone, you’ll also ignite your metabolism for hours after the session!!!

3) High intensity cardio:

High intensity cardio is any form of cardiovascular activity that causes you to breathe deeply and harder. As a general rule:

“The shorter the duration, the harder the activity…”

High Intensity cardio is any form of cardiovascular exercise that you can only sustain for 20-30 seconds. A perfect example of HIC is Sprinting. Sprinting is an all out effort that requires you to give it everything you got – and more – to reach your goal.

Interval training is an awesome way to start doing High Intensity Cardio. The gist of it is:

You go hard for a bit, and then you go easy for a bit….

The other awesome thing about HIC is that you can get much more work done in a short span of time.

Here’s something that many people don’t know about Long and Slow cardio:

Although there are many health benefits linked to cardiovascular exercise, it’s not good for fat burning!!! In fact, the increase in your metabolic activity only lasts for the DURATION of the exercise and as soon as you cool down, your metabolism goes back to the level it was BEFORE you started the activity….

4) Cut back on the sweets.

As I mentioned in the beginning of the article, eating too much sweets at one time causes your body to release massive amounts of insulin, which suppresses the release of fat burning GH and encourages the storage of fat.

Now, it’s okay to eat sweets. I love sweets. The key is to know when NOT to eat sweets.

a) It’s best to eat sweets earlier in the day, when you’re more active and more likely to burn off the calories that come with them.

b) NEVER EVER EVER eat sweets close to bedtime, for the reason I mentioned before!!!! Our bodies release GH during deep sleep, and when you eat sweets before your bedtime, then you suppress the release of the GH and encourage the release of Insulin and the storage of fat, so when your body should be rejuvenating and growing younger… This happens:

So, enjoy the sweets, but NOT before bedtime, okay? or else:

Sincerely,

Amir Campbell

You can easily build Lean muscles and Burn fat when you understand....

Nutrition is a science.

But... it's not a rocket science...

You see, when you understand the principles of "Macronutrients" and " Nutrient Density', then you will have a much easier time making healthy food choices.

Now, what are Macronutrients?

Macronutrients are Proteins, Carbohydrates, and Fats.

The primary role of protein is maintenance. Protein is hardly ever used for energy unless you're engaged in some activity that requires you to move continuously for a hour or more. And even iin that situation, your body will use protein LAST. Carbs and fats go first.

The primary function of Carbs and Fats are to provide you with energy. Fats are stored energy that will help you if you're ever on a dessert island and you have to go days without food.

Carbs are important for your brain and your nervous system. Carbs are also high in vitamins and minerals, for the most part.

You get your proteins from sources like chicken, beef, legumes, nuts, seeds, fish, lamb, etc.

You get your sugars and starches from Fruits, Vegetables, and Grains( Many grains have a alot of protein in them)

You get your fats from dairy and other sources. Many proteins have saturated fat in them, so there you go.

Nutrient Density is a fancy way of saying that you should choose a food with a high amount of nutrients and vitamins and minerals.

Now, what are your muscles made of?

Well...

Our muscles are about 70% water and 20% PROTEIN.

Now, let's use a little bit of inductive reasoning, shall we?

See, If muscles are made of protein, then doesn't it make sense that you can have a easier time building your muscles if you consume protein?

Is a sugary cookie going to provide the necessary building block for building new muscles?

Nope. They sure as hell taste delicious though, don't they?

Now, what's so important about understanding the basics of nutrition?

Can you build long and powerful muscles with a steady diet of cake and ice cream?

Doubt it. You sure as hell can build up on HUGE reserve of energy buy eating that stuff all the time and NOT exercising 30 minutes a day.

By "reserve", I mean a big ole' beer gut, complete with curly black hairs....

Now...

Let me be totally clear here:

I am, in no shape or form advocating a high protein diet, which places strain on the kidneys because of all the urea produced from the breakdown of proteins in the body.

The results that you can gain from are FAST, but...

They are short term and as soon as you stop eating like this, your body will put back on all the weight you lost... and more.

I'm talking about eating 5-6 balanced meals a day, each consisting of 50% protein, 30% carbs, and 20% fat. You don't have to have your meals exactly to these specifications, but you want to have your meals with this ratio or something similar.

When you eat 5-6 small meals like this, you provide your body with all the nutrients it needs to maintain(protein) and energize(carbs and fats).

Start to eat in this way and notice how much energy you have throughout the day.

Sincerely,

Amir

Burn the human leeches from your life...

Have you ever seen a leech before?

If not, you can go to this link below and check one out here:

http://archive.student.bmj.com/back_issues/0898/graphics/leechdrain.jpg

If you HAVE seen a leech before, then you know how disgusting they are.

If you know anything about leeches, then you KNOW that they suck blood.

Now.

What do leeches have to do with YOU?

Well, you may have leeches attached to you right now.

Can you imagine walking around with a human sized leech attached to you?

You may be wondering to yourself: " If there was something that huge attached to me, wouldn't I be aware of it?"

Well, Probably not.

You see, human leeches are those people that simply take and take and take and don't give back in return. They'll suck you dry and then when you have nothing left to give, they'll move on to some whose got lots of stuff so that they start the "suckfest" all over again.

Now.

You may be wondering to yourself:" what can I do to notice these huge freaking leeches so that I can avoid them at all costs?"

Well, you only have to open your eyes... and look around you.

Now.

Obviously, the leeches we're talking about might not suck blood, but they will suck other things right out of you.

Your time.

Your money.

Your good nature.

Human leeches are expert at spotting those who have a giving caring nature and sucking everything they can from them. They know exactly what they are doing. They've most likely been doing it for many years, so they've had time to "refine" their sucking abilities.

The thing about a Human leech is that they tend to "come and go". After they've sucked you dry, they'll disappear until you can regather your forces to the point of overflowing, at which point they'll magically and mysteriously appear from seemingly nowhere and WHAMMO!!!

You've been sucked dry before you even realize what's happened!!!

Isn't that aweful?

One way to avoid leeches is to notice them first. Once you notice them, then you will automatically do everything in your power to avoid them. Life is awesome like that... It's like we all have a built in "anti leech security system' that protects us from unwanted attachments.

The sad thing is that sometimes these leeches can be good friends, and it can be painful to wipe 'em off and find new non-leechy friends, but...

You have to think about yourself. It's tough, but it's got to be done if you're going to stay healthy and be successful.

So, from this point forward, you're going to be on the look out for the leeches around you...

And you're going to be on the lookout for the people that really add to your life....

And I'm pretty sure that you know exactly what to do next, don't you?

Sincerely,

Amir Campbell

Why women love funny guys...

It took me years to finally realize this.

I'm one of those guys who always wondered why a woman tends to choose a extremely funny guy over a guy who isn't so funny. Here's the answer that came to mind:

It's because their f@#$ING FUNNY!!!

But there's much, much, more to it than that.

Can you remember a time when you laughed so much that you lost your breath and the muscles on the back of your neck started to hurt and your stomach muscles just gave out?

Have you ever laughed so hard that your tears started to soak through to your shirt, revealing the color of you bra?

Well, if you want to look at laughter from the point of view of a scientist or neurophysician, then here's what you'll discover:

Laughter causes your brain to release endorphins, which is a chemical that causes you to feel good.

Now, when you put 1 and 1 together, you can easily understand why most women want a man that can make them laugh.

There... mystery solved. One down.... infinity to go.

If you don't consider yourself to be a funny guy, then go and learn some corny jokes. Corny jokes are paradoxical for this one reasons:

They are so unfunny that they are funny.

Have you ever heard a really corny joke? What was that like? Corny, I'd imagine. But then what happened:

As you started to replay the joke in your head, the sheer corniness of it suddenly hit you and you just had to laugh, possibly because you just couldn't believe how corny the joke was.

So, do yourself and learn some corny jokes.

Or better yet, model some really funny people and mimic their behaviors. There are tons of them out there with their own perspective of the world.

Make your boyfriends and girlfriends laugh. It's a really awesome way to clear your mind and to feel better.

Now.

Being funny is a talent that people have. Some people are born with it. Some people are born with, and everyone can develop humor.

Alot of it, really, is having to do with having a creative imagination. Alot of it, really, has to do with taking what's around you already and asking yourself:

What would my mother look like if she was white?
What would it be like if there was a deaf woman as president?
What would John Kennedy think of the current state of the economy? How would he look if he saw what was going on in the world today? What would he be saying if he were sitting in his home reading the newspaper?

It's all about using your imagination.

Much of what's funny is to take a factual event ie. Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and to make it funny somehow. It's about putting your own little spin on the event.

One simple drill that you can do to is to play a little game I like to call " what if".

What you do is take a sheet of paper and you write at the top of it "what if" or "what would it be like if...". Use whichever one feels right to you.

Now go ahead and write out WHATEVER COMES TO MIND. No matter how silly it seems, write it down.

Now.

One of the purposes of this little exercise is to help you overcome that little censor that you have inside your mind. All too often, we tend to censor what we say or do, so as not to be purr-ceived in a certain way...

Well, for the duration of this exercise, you can say whatever the F@#$ you want to. Say anything and everything you've always wanted to say.

You might find that as you allow your inner most thoughts and opinions to flow out from you and on the piece of paper before you, you'll have to get a new piece of paper and start over again... That's fine. It just means that you have a lot of things on your mind.

What would it be like if your home was surrounded by a huge moat filled with alligators and vicious grey gorillas?

What would it be like if our sun was green? How would the sunset look to you?

There's also something much more important about allowing your imagination to roam free and play about as it wants to:

It allows you to easily think of what COULD BE for you own life...

What would it be like if you were making 1000 dollars a day from the comfort of your own home?

What would it be like if you were the owner of a beautiful yacht?

What would it be like if your checking was filled with money, say... 10 million dollars in available funds?

You find that as you start to imagine the possibilities and imagine what thing COULD BE like, then you'll automatically start to act funnier and say funnier things.

Sincerely,

Amir

PS Can you imagine what Marylin Monroe would look like Dancing with Maxim Smirkofysky on "Dancing with the Stars"? How would she sound giving her post dance talk with Brooke Burnes? Thin about it...

I have no idea why the hell this was so funny...

I was at the post office getting stamps, for various reasons, one of which was not to return the Blonde mail order bride they sent me. I had to send he back because she wasn't talking to me... or moviing... or blinking.... or breathing.. to make matters worse.... They sent with all her clothes on!!!!!

What the Hell, dude. I didn't pay good money have RUSSIA send me a Hot dead chick with her frickin' clothes on. No F@#$in' way...

Anyway, as I was standing in line waiting to be... waited on.

Before me in the line was a nice old lady with long grey hair and a Pimp umbrella...

She was talking with the female cashier, who looked to be in her late 40's- early 50's.

They were having the most AMAZING conversation...

About stamps.

They were so deeply enthralled, and as I listened to them describe which stamps stuck to an envelope easier, I started to smile.

That smile gradually began to transform, like man to werewolf, into a grin.

That grin gradually flowed into a giggle.

The next thing I know, I'm standing there in line listening to these two ladies and i'm laughing ass off, jiggling all over the place. The lady behind me have got one hell of a show...

I'm just one of those people that you DO NOT want at a funeral, because you'll be angry at yourself for laughing at me.... It's a serious occasion, after all...

I tend to laugh at things that most other people might not find the slightest bit of humor in... scratch that:

The things that I laugh at, no other human being on the planet would find funny, unless I took the time to explain it to them. Which is why I want to learn sign language, so that I can reach a new group of people with my highly advanced sense of humor...

If you see something that seems funny to you, then laugh.

Amir

One thing you'll notice about me is that i'm...

Complex. I have a WIDE and LONG list of different interests that keep me very busy.

If you try to pin me down as an Apple, then you'll be disappointed when you discover that I've decided to be an Orange for the week.

Have Fun;)

Amir

Please tell me how you REALLY feel....

Would you REALLY want to know what the people around you think about you and the things you do?

It's not as hard as you might think. It just takes a little calibration on your part.

You have to get an idea of how the person normally feels, their general disposition, sunny or surly.

Once you have their baseline, you can notice any deviations with ease.

The key is to notice.

Open your eyes and your ears, and your... soul...

It surprises me that people don;t do this as often as they should.

Alot of lives can be saved when you PAY ATTENTION.

The rapist that wants to rape you is going to have a certain body language.

The boss that wants to give you that raise is going to have a certain body language.

That Victoria's secret model that you're kicking out of bed is going to have a certain body language.

You see, what people say and what they do are two totally different things.

A person may say "no", but their head is nodding "yes, I did it"

You have to realize that you are dealing with the subconscious mind at the same time. And the subconscious mind controls the body. The subconscious mind stores your memories. The subconscious mind is the storehouse of all your skills.

A person can't lie to you and get away with it unless they've been trained to do so.

The key tings that you want to pay attention to are:

1) Tone of voice, through which you can determine certainty and uncertainty, how much a person believes something, how they truly feel, etc

2) Body movements: Twitches, head nods, eyes looking in a certain direction ( eye accessing cues)

3) Posture: Let's you know how a person is feeling. Changes in posture correlate with changes in thoughts and emotions. Common sense will tell you that when people feel good, they stand up tall, and when they feel like shit, they keep their head down and limit eye contact.

There are many more indicators that will allow you to read a person like a open book with huge letters, but these are enough to get you started on the road to mastery.

The key is calibration.

Amir

What the fuck.... *Black dork rant*

So much to share, so many places to start....

Let's start with:

1) The old slut MILF from that Tide commericial. One word:

FIND ME AND MARRY ME...

You can see her here, but DON'T fall in love with her and of course, Make sure I hit it first:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cljX9iMwgQ

2) Halloween: SERIOUSLY!?!?!?!?!??!

3) UGG boots and tights: God's gift to women of lesser shape and physical attractiveness. It's a walking hypnotic induction for visual men like me. Thank god for airbags...

4) Tur-duck-en: Um... if you can just *think* about eating a turkey with a duck stuffed up it's ass and NOT puke, then....

WOW. Just... WOW.

Amir

It sucks when you can't cheat on a woman and get away with it...

I've been there many, many, many times.

Especially when it comes to meeting women.

Like most guys, I LOVE WOMEN. There's not a waking thought that passes through my awareness that doesn't involve a woman or three... I love women.

I'm no expert one meeting women. Far from it. I'm just a student of life and I learn A little bit each day. It's so frustrating that it's actually fun. Thankfully, I haven't been slapped. Only insulted down t the depths of my immortal soul, is all...

Like most guys, when I see a woman that I want to get to know better, I might get a little nervous, and might not even know what to say, but then again, who really knows what to say all of the time?

In my mind, the most important thing is that I can find a way to get the girl's attention and hold it for a while so that she can see how awesome and funny I really am.

I've said lots of dumb things. LOTS. I've DONE even more dumb things.

One thing that comes to mind is the time I wanted to meet this really cute cashier in a Banana Republic store. She was brunette, had dark eyes, and she was long and slender in the trunk area. The skintight purple dress that came up to her toned thighs just added to her aura....

Anyway, Being a Personal Trainer, I use this as a excuse to open a communication with her. Here's a transcript of the exchange:

Me: Excuse me...

Her: Yeah?

Me: I'm a personal Trainer and I could help but notice that you have amazing posture....

Her: Really?

Me: Yeah:)

Her: Wow.... I've been going to my chiropractor because of my scoliosis for a while now....

Me: ......

Me: Well, whatever he's doin is working out for ya...

Her: Thanks!!! I let him know:)

Anyway, the point is this...

How the F@#K was I supposed to know she had scoliosis!?!?!?!?!

Do you see where I'm going with this yet?

When there's someone that you want to meet, find ANY excuse to go up to them and start a conversation. If you take the time to sit down and calculate what you're going to say, then he/she may disappear FOREVER.

The main goal at that point is to make them AWARE that you even exist and to give them a taste of your personality.

It's like this: At any one point in time, there are literally thousands of concerns, hopes, worries, plans, etc, running through most people's heads. It's almost as if each one of us is walking around surrounded by a cloud of these thoughts, each one demanding our energy and attention.

It's like everyone is walking around in a focused trance.

"Everyone" includes that Hot thong model that works at the subway down the street....

Your mission (if you choose to accept it and you find her attractive) is to get her attention and SAY ANYTHING. It doesn't matter what you say. You will automatically know what to say, if you use your eyes and ears.

Your only mission is to break her out of her trance for the moment and get her focused on you.

There's a saying about the human mind that goes something like this:

"The mind is indivisible..."

What does this mean?

It means that we can only focus our attention on one thing at a time.

Now what does this mean for meeting the woman that you want to meet?

Well, if all of her attention is focused on you for the time being, then you're in.

It sounds simple, but it's true.

The important thing is to establish that little connection with them FIRST.

I've said some really dumb things before, thing so dumb that even my friends had to drop everything they were doing and ask themselves: " Did he really just say that?"

Part of what I say comes from the fact that much like Abe Lincoln, I find it very hard to lie, and when I am Lying, you can easily notice it and call me on it. It's a gift and a curse.

It sucks when you can't cheat on a woman and get away with it...

Her: Did you sleep with my mother and my sister yesterday?

Me: (Words) I would never do anything to hurt you....
(Body movements) Yes... but you're mother was lousy and your friend has one hell of yeast infection going on. I've never seen so many loafs of bread in my life... They were tasty, but still, too much bread for one man...

......

Don't waste time. Don't worry about looking stupid. You probably already look stupid by virtue of the way you're dressed.

Get up and say something.

I think I maybe an optimist...

I didn't realize it until today..

I was in local print shop getting a quote for a book I'm writing called " Secrets of how to be your own personal trainer".

As I walk into the store, I notice a customer speaking with one of the associates, and I notice that the guy seems to be a pessimist...

He's talking about how "there's nothing good left in the world" and he's just "wating for the end...", whatever that means.

Now, I like to play around, so with each statement he spit out, I picked out the positive in it. Everytime I countered with a positive, he was "stunned", and he searched deep in his subconscious for a negative.

As if his pessimistic attitude wasn't bad enough, he even started to get down on... BEER!!!

This was the last f@#$% straw for me, because I love a good, tall, cold, frosty mug of beer every once in a while.

He goes: " There ain;t enough alcohol in the beer..." to which I reply:

"Yeah, but there is still some in there..."

At which point he walks out of the shop and wishes everyone a good weekend. I really do hope that guy has an amazing weekend and that he learns to see the positive aspects of his life.

If he was only aware of the fact that " the grass is always greener on the other side". At least he has a job!!!! How many of you out there are out of work? I'm in the same boat.

It's only when I got home did I realize the significance of what occurred: He couldn't bring me down!! His energy level didn't have an impact on me and I managed to brighten up his day to a degree.

I would never called myself an "optimist", but I do like to focus on the positive aspects of my life, because I'm a FIRM believer in the saying " what you focus your attentions on, expands..."

Take Care,

Amir

Women's sunglasses

women's sunglasses The creators sound as though they have created something unique and special. The web page is good and i want to suggest a few things:

1) There are a lot of benefits and features attributed to the sunglasses described on the front page, but because everything is so compacted together, my eyes almost completely ignored them.

2) I would suggest that you make a separate paragraph for each separate thought that you have. You might also want to add bullet points to each specific feature. Other than those two points, the website is easy to navigate.

Cheers, Amir

What "The secret" talks about....

Have you seen that movie "The Secret". It's a very good movie that talks about the power of focusing of WHAT YOU DO WANT until you get it.

If you haven't seen the movie yet, then you must have at least seen that Blonde lady with the $%^&-up hair that was on Oprah...twice in the same week....

One of the things that they talk about is "being aligned with your desire". I simply take this to mean that have to capture the FEELING of what it will be like when you've gotten what you wanted.

I was listening to some music that i used to listen to when I was in college and I realized something very important - I have a lot of awesome memories associated with some really awesome music.

I realized how deeply music is intertwined with my life - and I understand how much music is associated with the younger people today. The music that they love today is going to be the awesome memories of their future...

They'll hear a song from their past and instantly begin to think about some memory, good or bad.

Wow.

Anyway...

I drew a connection between "being in line with your desire" and a really good song: A good song sort of puts you into a certain state. You feel a certain way when you hear a certain song.

I also realize that the woman who created " the secret" actually compiled her work from a TON of other writers, and that's fine. I think the most important thing is that she was partly responsible in popularizing the necessity of focusing on what you DO WANT.

Is this possible?!?!?!?

Have you ever looked directly at something and not seen it?

It amazes how much we can be awake yet NOT be be awake.

Sure, you can be walking around and talking, but are you awake?

Did you notice what your mom was wearing the last time you saw her?

How did you best friend sound the last time you saw/heard them?

It amazes me that every-time I drive down a certain road that I can notice something that I never noticed before.

Has that ever happened to you?

Can you see the difference between being "Awake" and AWAKE?

Being awake means that all of your sense are focused on the sounds, sights, feelings, and smells of the immediate environment.

If you were to take a moment and notice what you smell, what do you smell?

If you were to take a moment and notice what you see, what would you notice?

Have you ever been looking at a friend or lover and all of a sudden, you notice something that you never noticed before?

How does you shirt feel on your body?

How does your ass FEEL in your seat?

How do you feet feel?

That is what being present is all about.

Do you realize that many of the accidents that people experience is because they aren't PRESENT. For a brief moment, they couldn't "See" the driver that suddenly pulled out and nailed them.

It's always the punch that you don't "see" that knocks your ass out COLD.

Can you think of all the places that you life can improve when you're PRESENT?

Sincerely,

Amir Campbell

How to Decrease Muscle Soreness and Increase your Body's ability to heal...in 5 minutes or less!!!

How to Decrease Muscle sorness and Speed Up Muscle Recovery:

What happens to your body when you exercise?

A) Muscles break down
B) Muscles get tight
C) Muscle Glycogen Gets Depleted

Remember, your body is a living thing and although the effects may not be apparent immediately, just realize that changes are going on beneath the surface, and you will become aware of them in the days to follow. Your body will send you necessary signals.

There’s also something very important that you need to realize: every process that we know about – and aren’t yet aware of – is subject to various levels of intensity, usually experienced as a Low point, Peak Point, Bottom Point.

a) It’s like sprinting: when you first take off, you’re in the acceleration phase
b) You’ve hit your stride and you’re sprinting at your max speed
c) You reach the point where your legs can no longer produce the necessary force and you slow down.

It’s sort of like a line or any other shape that you want to use to represent it.

Now…

As you’re sore, you want to rate the level of soreness on a scale of 1 -10. This rating is important because when you go through the healing process, you’re going to want to refer to that rating. After you run the post exercise healing routine, then you’re going to want to rate your level of soreness again. Hopefully, it’s gone down quite a bit.

Pre exercise Preparation:

1) Stretch and Activate (Warm up) muscles that are going to be exercised BEFORE exercising:

Ie A) Bench Press - Stretch Pecs and Deltoids and warm-up the same (activate)
B) Barbell Squat: Warm Back muscles, warm up the muscles in the leg (adductors, abductors, quads, hamstrings, calves, Glutes)

2) Perform the “Cross Crawl”. The Cross Crawl is an exercise that’s designed to enhance the bodies’ ability to heal. Long story short, our bodies are used to performing activities in which our body parts cross the midline of the body. Researchers discovered that activities such as walking and swimming stimulate both the right and left hemispheres of the brain and speed up the healing process. We human beings are Contralateral, meaning that when you move your left leg, your right arm is supposed to naturally move out with with, and when you move your right leg, your right arm is supposed to naturally move out with it. However….

Notice that I said “supposed”. Sometimes, a person’s body will develop a condition that is called Homolateral. This means that when your left arm swings, your left leg swings out, and when your right leg swings out, your right arm swings out. This condition is not good.

When you are in a Homolateral condition, your immune systems’ ability to heal you is decreased by about 50 percent!!!!

Does this sound like a state that you want to be in you want to perform to your peak potential? I hope not!!!!

A simple way to switch your neurological organization from Homolateral to Contralateral is to perform the Cross Crawl. This is a perfect addition to any work out routine. The cross crawl also enhances your ability to think properly, as the movement ( and any movements that cause you to move contralaterally) stimulates both hemispheres of the brain.

To perform the Cross Crawl, you’re going to stand up and march in place. As you march in place, touch your left hand to your right knee, and your right hand to your left knee, and repeat for a minute or two. The longer you perform the exercise, the easier it becomes, to the point where you start to develop a rhythm as you’re doing it.

3) Stretch and Cool Down for about 10 minutes

4) Make sure you eat a High Carbohydrate meal with some Protein afterwards to speed up the rebuilding of muscle glycogen (fuel stores)

5) If possible, take a warm bath to increase circulation so that blood can flow more easily to the exercise muscles and speed up the repair.

Post Exercise Preparation:

***Rate your level of soreness on a scale of 1-10 before you begin and then rate it again after you’ve gone through the protocol below to notice any improvement your muscles have made***

1) Stretch Sore muscles

2) Activate Sore muscles (warm up)

3) Repeat until Muscles feel stronger and soreness is gone.

4) Make sure all of your meals contain protein to aid the rebuild of the torn down muscles. Eggs are a good source of protein if you're not allergic to them, as they have a high bioavailability, meaning that the protein in eggs is easily assimilated by your body.

5) Perform the “Cross Crawl” for a minute or two

The important thing to keep in mind is that the key to Recovery is to keep moving!!!

Keep the blood flowing!!! The soreness you experience may cause you to want to stay still or stay in bed, but DON'T!!!

Get up and get active. Of possible, go for a walk to get the blood circulating.

When you think about it, when you experience DOMS, it's similar to being injured, isn't it? You're muscles underwent trauma and as a result, are in the recovery phase.

There have been scientific studies that prove beyond doubt that inactivity leads to the weakening and loss of muscle tissue. In one such study, they imposed bed rest on healthy young men, and placed elderly men on exercise routine for 4 weeks. The results at the end of the four weeks?: The old men increased their muscle mass and endurance, while the young men experienced a 25-30 decrease in muscle strength. Isn’t that amazing? Doesn’t it make you realize that activity is the key to longevity AND recovery?

Amir Campbell

Sweet, sweet blog

I just got back in from dropping off my niece. Her son, my great nephew ( I just call him my nephew, since I'm not big on labels and titles) had a awesome birthday today. We mushed his face in the cake and he loved it. He wanted us to do it again, but it's only funny the first time. We'll by one of those Little Debbie cakes and catch him by surprise tomorrow...

Lots of stuff running through my mind right now:

This blog for instance... I know that when i'm dead and gone, physically, this blog will still be here, a lasting record that was proof that I was here, proof that I lived....

Also thinking about being proactive and reactive. Thinking about which one I am and being glad that I know which one I am....

I'm also realizing what A rut truly is... I'm realizing how a rut is sorta like "Groundhog Day" with Bill Murray( If you haven't seen this movie, then you absolutely MUST make some time and watch this movie... and I promise you that it will open your eyes and really look at your own life).... I'm starting to realize that although some aspects of the movie aren't possible, there are some parts that ring shockingly true to life... for me at least right now....

Long story short, Bill discovers that he has to relive the same day over and over again. At first, he's loving it... he's doing all the things that A person who knows exactly what's going to happen next would do... he realizes that he can't die because the day starts over repeatedly....

This "happening" starts to lose it's novelty and he starts to hate it... he's stuck in the mother of all ruts. He realizes that he absolutely must make some changes if he wants his life to continue on it's track. He realizes that until he starts to use his knowledge of the things that are going to happen, he'll be stuck in this time loop forever....

I gotta admit that I'm feeling a little bit like Bill right now, but not in the good way....

I guess the first step to getting out of a rut is to realize that you're in a rut, don't you think?

I guess the next question to ask is " What kind of situation and circumstances do I want to be in and what can I do right now to create those circumstances?"

If you're in the house Denmark, let me hear make some NOIIIIISSSSSSEEEEE!!!!

Denmark is one of the places that i'm going to visit when money and time become available. If you're reading this and your currently reside in Denmark, then let me know what types of things I should do and What places I can visit.

To honor you, sweet Denmark, i'm gonna make a rap for you!!! I'm gonna do my research and I'm gonna create a video, to thank all 6 of your countrymen(and women) that visited my page. However, I do have one concern....

I'm afraid that those 6 people forgot to leave comments on what they liked and didn't liked... So i can't put your names into my little masterpiece, but that's okay. I'll just call you the "Denmark 6". That sounds cool, right? Like "ocean's 12"... or Baker's Dozen...

What the weather like in Denmark? Most importantly, how much do you love Black Men? These things are important to me, because when i come there, I'm going to need at least 6 Beautiful Denmark women to accompany through town and keep my body safe....

Thank you and God Blesske...

Taking Stalking to A whole new level... the future level....

So I was just checking out blogs to follow (I didn't know that was the termed used until just now...) and I notice something very... stalkerish.

You're given the option to follow a specific blog anonymously... as in the person whose blog you’re following isn't aware that you're following them. Where have we heard that before...*cough* Law and Order...*coughs* special victims unit.

I guess I’m just confused as to why a person would feel the need to follow some one that they like... anonymously. Why just not just LET THEM KNOW YOU'RE FOLLOWING THEM, so that they can reject you, instead of you hanging on to the hope that they will accept you when they're ready...

I think all stalking comes down to avoiding rejection. If I like a girl, I go up and talk to her. If she's not interested, then she's just not interested no matter how many drinks I buy her....

But with a stalker, I think that having that fantasy and having that closeness ( read: standing over them while they sleep) is enough to keep them happy. Like I always say, "the best stalker is the one that you never know is there until you end up marrying them, and then years later, they tell you that they were stalking you... and that you actually didn't accidentally run over your beautiful golden retriever... they killed it and put it under your rear tire so that when you came out and cried your eyes out, they could comfort you... from behind that huge ass oak tree...."

That's the thing: you never know if you're being stalked right now... as you're sitting there reading these words, there could be someone watching you right now, they know your every move.... they even know what you're thinking right now... they know what you're gonna do today... they know what you're gonna do 10 years from now....

God, silly!!!

Sincerely,

Amir

Very weird night....

Last night was a extremely weird night, in terms of my dreaming.

I swear that I must have dreamed the entire 8 hours I was asleep. It felt as though i was living a totally separate life while my eyes were closed. If you ever remember our dreams, then you remember how confusing a dream can be and for some mysterious reason, I only seem to remember that last few seconds up to the point where i open my eyes. Last night was different however..

I woke up three times last night, and each wake up session was caused by something that I was seeing in my dreams. Very weird.

Have you ever had a dream that was so disturbing - or inspiring - that even though you had it many years ago, you can still remember it clearly to this day? I've had several such dreams, and I feel like they serve as messages, something that your subconscious mind knows, but that you don't realize yet... something that will be revealed later on in our life.... if we live long enough to discover the meaning of it.

I think is something very important to factor into a very unexplainable dream. The longer we live, the more we

This is some really exciting stuff, to me at least.... I can clearly remember different portions of the dream. It felt as though I was living through and entire day. I remember making plans to do things. I remember taking a shower and realizing that my bathroom window was open. I remember being in my bedroom cleaning up load of pennies and dimes and quarters from underneath my bed. I've read instances of people who spent years experiencing a dream, where they accomplished major things and even got married and died, and then they woke up.

Can you imagine yourself winning the noble peace prize, having lunch with Donald trump and oprah, and then waking up, discovering that it was just a dream?

Experts say that images in dreams are symbols and rarely literal. I'm not sure what the pennies, dimes and quarters mean. I'm not sure what the showering thing mean ( is someone somewhere trying to tell me that i'm dirty?)

I wonder where the whole deja vu thing comes into play in terms of dreams? Maybe when we experience deja vu, what's really happening is that we are remembering some future event( now, the present) that we dreamt about. When you stop and think about it, deja vu is like a "feeling", where I just KNOW that I've already done this before. I remember having that feeling when I first attended Nazareth college in 1999. I remember it very clearly: I was sitting down in my dormroom and something told me to jump up on the top bunk(my roommate at the time hadn't moved in yet, so I had the place to myself), and then suddenly, it hit me like a snowball:

"I've been here before!!!" It was very weird and disorienting.

As I said above, time will everything and put all those mysteries that you have into proper perspective. You'll look back on those "Weird" dreams and then you'll say to yourself:

"Ohh, so that's what that meant!!!!"

Good old time....

Feeling hot hot hot....

It is as hot as satan's man thong after a bowl of ghost peppers here...

It's 89 degrees right now and forecasters are predicting it to be 77 degrees at night... that's after the sun goes down. It's terrible for some, and awesome for some.

I'm one of those guys that loves the cold weather. I have a really strong... dislike for extremely warm weather. It's like my kryptonite; prolonged exposure to the rays of a yellow sun are devastating for me; of course, i'd trade my weakness for superman's weaknesses any day....

I can understand that children are able to enjoy the warm weather, since they sweat very little and have higher pulse rates. Plus, they're kids. But when I adults being able to lie down all day in the sun and do normal things in 90+ degree weather, I have to wonder about something:

What specific drugs are they using?
Where can I get them quickly?

Every summer causes me to realize more and more that I'm definitely a winter person. I absolutely love cool, cold weather conditions. I especially love it when it's all blizzard-y outside. There's some thing about the snow that can turn any neighborhood into something different...something more magical. It's as if the snow covers up all the details about the environment, and you start to imagine what the place would look like without all the snow.... Plus it's just cool to be able to jump off the garage roof and land safely in the huge pile of fluffy snow below... or maybe that's just me...

Anyways, in this type of weather, we tend to sweat alot. I've noticed something very interesting in regards to the perception of exertion while working out in extremely hot weather: many people feel that they actually burn more calories while working out in the blistering hot sun.

I think what's really happening is that the increased body temperature caused by the sun increases the perception of exertion during exercise: in other words, you feel like you're working harder because the sun is riding your back like a mule riding a little kitty kat...

If a person feels like they are doing more work than they really, and they are exercising, then isn't that a good thing? I think so, don't you?

Anyway, if you're one of those people that loves to play around when the sun is literally in your lap, then by all means, go for it. Just remember to drink plenty of water and apply sunscreen liberally.... that applies to people of all skin tones.

Sincerely,

Amir Campbell

My recent trip To Montego Bay

I'm so mad because I wasn't smart enough to bring a camera and take pictures... the only thing I have to prove that I actually took the trip is the stamp in my passport:(

For anyone that hasn't been to Montego Bay yet, or Jamaica for that matter, I feel absolutely confident in saying that when you decide to go down there and spend a week or two, it's going to be one of those things that you look back on in your life and be glad that you actually did it.

The one thing that stands out in my mind clearly is how amazingly beautiful the water is. Talk about blue... It's a vast difference from some of the beaches where i come from... Vast difference. The other awesome thing about the water is the fact that it was so warm. My nephew and I literally stayed in the water for hours and just marveled at the beauty of the surroundings. We spent alot of time hanging out at Doctor's Cave. This is a beach that's more tourist oriented, but it is amazing and you'll definitely want to spend some time there. They have some really good menu options as well. I thought the chicken fingers were amazing. They were very Juicy and spicy.

We spent much of our time hanging out at the local tourist spots, for the simple fact that even though we're Jamaican, we weren't born there and thus we weren't familiar with the area. We just reasoned that it's best to stick with what we did know. You can't go wrong with brilliant sunshine, beautiful water and amazing views of the mountains, and the simple fact that you can walk around with a beer in your hands without being harassed by the cops!!!

This one little aspect of the trip really blew my mind wide open. If you're from the states, then you know that its illegal to walk around with a alcoholic beverage that's open. In Montego Bay, walking around with Beer is as natural as seeing a kid walk around with a lopsided ice cream cone.

Another ting that really stood out to me was the fact that I felt like I really was in another world. Sure, the economy is still in development, and the place does need lots of help from more developed nations like the U.S.A., but for the most part, the people are very friendly and gracious.

Oh yeah.... WE RODE JETSKIS!!!!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! I can't fully describe the feeling of riding a jetski at 90 miles an hour, skipping over the water like a rock, with the wind pushing my cheeks back like a bulldog.... If you go to Jamaica, you absolutely have to RIDE THE JETSKIS!!!! Plan to ride them. It's 50 bucks for a half an hour, and I felt like it was worth every single penny. The really awesome thing is that the JetSki that I was originally riding had some sort of mechanical problem, which had absolutely nothing to do with me even though I had never rode one before that moment.... So the guy who gives you the quickie lesson on JetSki riding had to give me one of the jetskis that the pros ride, so long story short, I was hallin' ass on this jetski, maxing it out at 90 miles per hour. If I had the money, I would have rode that damn jetski all day for the entire week.

Another thing you absolutely HAVE TO DO is eat lots and lots of beef patties. The ones that I get in the state are NOTHING compared to the fresh beef patties I tasted while I down there. You have to realize that many of the beef patties that we eat in the states are made in Jamaica and shipped here. Jamaica is the source. We ate beef patties from TASTEE'S, which is a franchise down there. They serve Other things, but beef patties are the centerpiece around which the franchise is built. There is nothing so sweet as to eat a beef patty that was freshly made AND that is just coming out of the oven. Okay, there are some things that are better, but few things can compare, as far as I'm concerned. Make sure you visit Tastees at least 10 time before you leave the place.

We wanted to Visit Rick's Cafe in Negril, but we got there too late and the place was rained out. We never gt a chance to go back. I was sort of relieved in a way, because my Nephew kept trying to convince me to jump off the friggin cliff. I don't have a problem with jumping off of anything; the only objection that i have is that I CAN'T FRIGGIN SWIM!!! Not yet at least, but it's something I'm working little by little, so that next year, I can easily Jump from the tree that on the edge of the cliff repeatedly.

Oh yeah, the driving. Word of caution to the wise: If you've never driven in jamaica, DON'T. To me, every time we had to travel somewhere by car, I felt as though we were on a friggin NASCAR track, and the people around us were trying to get into first place or something. It was scary. In Montego Bay, driving is a skill that you must develop before attempt to go out on the road.

As for the night life, there are tons of awesome places to check out. The amazing thing is that in Montego Bay the beaches stay open 24 hours a day. It's just that after 6pm or 7pm, the life guards go home, and if you can't swim, it's best not to venture out too far into the water, or you might wash up back on American shores.... 3 years later and bloated to the point where a person can pop you with a pin... if you get my point.

All in all, the trip was amazing and I;m grateful for the fact that I got to stay with my brother in law and his sister in the beautiful home in Montego Bay. Big shout out to sandy for her amazing cooking and amazing hospitality. She's the best host anyone body could ever ask for.

Big shout out to Mike for taking us everywhere we wanted to go. He took us out and showed where to go... and where not to go. With him to drive us around, we saved lots of money and had even more fun.

The only thing that I regret is not being able to visit Ochos Rios. I hear that the place is GORGEOUS and I can't wait to hang out there next year.

My words just don't do the place justice. I learned a couple of things from my time there:

1) Always have some sort of camera on hand
2) Do our homework so that you are aware of the prices of the things that you want to do
3) Don't spend more money than you have to. Get all the essentials while you in the states, because some of the tourist shops will charge you and arm and both your legs. After all, they are just trying to make money.

Sincerely,

Build your ideal Body in your mind now....

What type of arms do you want?

How do you want your Back to look?

How do you want you triceps to look?

What about your quads, hamstrings, calves and glutes?

If you cold build your perfect body how would it look? Most importantly, imagine a time in the future, maybe six months from, and you've created your perfect body. Imagine looking in the mirror and seeing your perfect stomach. How does your stomach look?

Imagine that your completely naked and your standing in front of a full length mirror. You can see your entire body. Are you happy with what you're looking at now?

Now that you have a target, it's time to do your research and discover the best way to achieve the results that you want to experience. How long do you think it'll take you to achieve that body that you want?

More importantly, are you willing to do everything in your power to SAFELY create your perfect body? This is very important. There are a million ways to pick up a broken egg; you can use a fork; you can use a broom; you can use that little suction device on the back of your vacuum cleaner; the important question is:

Which one is going to get the job done effectively?

Health, as with anything is a matter of Give and take. How much time and energy are you willing to GIVE to achieve your goal?

Have you sat down and done this yet?

If you haven't already sat down with pen and paper, and made a list of all the places on the beautiful big blue bubble that you want to visit, then what the hell are you waiting for?

Do it right now. Just pretend that you have all the money and time you'll ever need. Just write out every single place that comes into your mind. Relax and let your mind go nuts.

Write out in detail what types of things you want to do when you visit these palces. After all, you don't want to just visit Montego Bay, see the airport and then get right back on the airplane and head back home, do you? Of course not. So write out all the things that you want to be doing.

Really do your homework on the places that you want to visit and ultimately, experience.

To get even more specific, write out how long you want to spend in each place. Again, i'm sure you'd love to spend an entire week in the south of France instead of just seeing it on a post card, don't you?

Finally, when you've written out where you want to go and how long you want to spend there and what you want to be doing, then put a deadline next to each travel destination. When do you want to travel to Destination xxx? This year? Next July?

If at all possible, cut out pictures from magazines and post them up some place where you can see them, so that you give your subconscious mind a target to focus on, and also to build up your desire to experience that place. It's sorta like holding a piece of steak in front of a starving dog. Can you guess which one of you is the starving dog...

The Crucial Part of this process is to do your homework on your desired destinations. You have to give your subconscious mind a target, something to focus on. You see, your subconscious mind is always working in the background, silently. Some people refer to it as GENIE that gives you everything you want... or don't want.

We each have inside of us something that has been termed a "Creative Mechanism". In simple terms, the subconscious mind has a way of making things happen, either things that we do want, or things that we don't want.

For instance, if you keep telling yourself, "I'm not gonna screw up, I'm not gonna screw up...", chances are that you will screw up. Why? Because your focus was on not screwing up.

Now, if you switch your thinking to " i'll do fine, i'll do good, i'll be calm and cool.." then that what Creative Mechanism will make happen.

Here's the proper procedure for focusing on what you do want:

1) Notice the situation as it is (ie I have a headache)
2) State what you don't want (i don't want to have a headache)
3) State what you do want ( I want to feel fine and feel relaxed and I want to feel good)

If you take this little procedure and apply it to the process of traveling anywhere you want to go, then it starts to look like this.

1) I'm stuck in xxx every winter
2) I don't want to be stuck in xxx this winter
3) I want to be surfing in Hawaii/swimming with the dolphins this winter...

Try his process out with the things and situations in your life and let me know how good it works for you.

Sincerely,

Amir

Success Secrets For Personal Trainers

Success Secrets for Personal Trainers:

One habit that you want to develop is the ability to monitor your clients’ reactions to exercise with your vision. You want to relax your vision and use your peripheral vision to get a broad view of your client while they are performing a movement. When you’re focused on one spot, you’re using Foveal Vision. It’s a sort of tunnel vision, wherein which you can only see what your vision is focused. The ideal state for you to be in is what is called The Learning State. In this state of Relaxed Awareness, your vision relaxes and you can take in information using your peripheral vision.

Peripheral vision is that part of your vision that allows you to notice MOVEMENT. It’s that aspect of seeing that allows you to notice when a mouse is moving in the corner of the room you’re sitting in. When you’re training your client, you want to pick a spot on your client body to focus in on, and then gradually allow yourself to notice the movements of their body. Your peripheral vision is extremely sensitive and can pick up the slightest movements. You might be surprised when you discover that you can actually see a clients’ blood pulsing through their veins as your taking their pulse!!! Believe me, I was shocked when I first noticed it, but was no longer a mystery when I learned about the sensitivity of our peripheral Vision. When you learn to rely on your peripheral vision more and more during a session, you’ll start to notice the slightest changes in a clients’ posture as they perform an exercise. Are you aware of the fact that our conscious minds are only able to notice only about 7 bits or chunks of information at a time? The rest of the information is noticed by your subconscious mind

Know your client’s personality: This seems like a no brainer, but it becomes very important when you’re in the middle of a training session and your client starts to lose focus and starts talking about… non related session stuff to be polite.

First of all, you have to know what is motivating your client to train with you in the first place. What are the reasons your client is spending a couple of hours a week with you? In a way, you have to know their reasons as if they are your own. Make it a habit to write down their goals (which you should be doing if you’re a detailed personal trainer).

Make sure you understand your clients Motivation Sort. Are they training with you to avoid a certain state of being or are they training to attain a certain level of health. The distinction is very important. Many people are either motivated by what they want to avoid – Away From- and many people are motivated by what they want to achieve – Towards.

With a person who is motivated “Towards” something, their focus is on what they do Want.

With a person that is motivated “Away From” (or someone), their focus on what they don’t want.

When you listen to your clients speak, you’ll notice what their Motivation Sort is. The ones that “Don’t want to be fat” or “don’t want to look like that” are those who have an “Away from” Motivation sort.

In order to motivate those Away from clients, you have to remind them of what it is that they DON’T want. Once you have them focused on that, then you remind them of the actual fitness goal ie to run easier, to add more definition to their abs and legs, etc.

In order to Motivate those Towards clients, you remind them of what it is they DO want. It helps to have your client notes handy so that you can easily look at their information and remember what their motivation is in the first place.

Now…

You want to discover whether or not you’re client is Proactive or Reactive. Does your client call you and tell you they’re on the way – or do you have to call your client?

Again, understand this distinction is very important because once you become aware of your clients meta-programs, you can predict their actions, ie you can determine how they will react during training.

Please be aware that these Motivational traits are contextual – ie. Your client make be proactive in exercising with you, but they may be reactive in a work or conflict situation. The other contexts are not important. The important thing for you to realize here is that you must focus on their behavior within the training context. Makes sense?

Another important factor in the Trainer-Client relationship is the Training Environment and the affect it has on the client- and your own - ability to focus and have an productive workout.

Some people are able to focus on the task at hand no matter how much commotion is going on in the surroundings. The people are called “screeners”. They have the ability to “screen out” all stimuli that is not connected to the task at hand and get the task done. These are the people you see studying in loud and noisy places.

There are clients who may actually be distracted by all the stimuli and action in the surroundings to a high degree, to the point where they lose their focus. These people are called “Non screeners”. They absolutely have to have peace and quiet in order to get the task done.

Your task is to determine which one of the types your client is. You can determine their type by simply asking them what type of place they prefer to train in. If your clients prefer to train in quiet surroundings, and yet you have no way to provide such an environment, then you have to consistently bring their focus from the environment back to yourself. You can easily do this by directing them to look at a specific point or pay attention to a specific sound in the environment. You can even suggest to them the natural phenomenon of all the sounds in the background fading away to silence as they focus on the task at hand. The simplest approach is to keep them busy – Keep your clients body active and their mind will stay active. Make use of active recovery periods so that although their muscles are resting from the previous set, they are still engaged in some purposeful activity. Remember this always – You can only focus your attention on ONE thing at a time.

Now….

Being a Personal Trainer, I realize that you might have an easier time working with a certain client or a certain “Type” of client. That’s fine. That’s even natural. Isn’t their a certain type of person that you tend to like to hang out with? Isn’t their a certain type of person that you tend to avoid? What do you do when you’re training a client that you can’t stand? Remember, a client is just a person that you instructing in exercises to become more fit. In a situation like this, you want to develop rapport with your client. You want to gain some insight into your client so you can understand them.

Have you ever really hated someone you didn’t really know too well, but when you took the time to get to know them and UNDERSTAND, you started to like them more and more to the point where you actually became good friends?

Become curious about your clients. When you start to become curious about them, you’ll discover that you’ll understand them more and more. Being curious is the key. That rapport that you steadily develop allows you and your client to have very productive sessions.

Sincerely,

Amir Campbell
