Appreciate even the feelngs that suck...

Those feelings are good, because they show us what areas need our attention.

When you stop and think about it for a moment, doesn't it just make sense?

If there was a problem, then you wouldn't be feeling that way, now would you?

Everybody feels bad sometimes, and that's okay, but the important question that you need to ask yourself is this:

Why do i feel like this about xxx?

When we ask ourself questions, we will get answers.

Once you discover why you feel the way you feel about what you're feeling about.... You can ask yourself even better questions like:

What can i do to change this situation for the better?

The answers you get are usually good answers. You might get one answer. You might get one thousands answers. The neat part about it is that you have the opportunity to sit down... and pick out the answers that make sense to you.

Make sense?

I was just sitting here, feeling crappy all day, even though i could really figure out why: I'd exercised today and i got plenty of sunshine and i even got a chance to study some really interesting material, yet i felt like crap. I was feeling detached all day, like i couldn't feel anything. It was weird. I felt disconnected from people, even though i did have a interesting experience today.

Suddenly, my mom started talking about the pain involved in dental procedures, namely a root canal. As she was talking about the pain and reliving the experience, i could actually feel her pain. It felt like a electric shock at the base of my spine.

Have you ever seen something that looked so painful that you can actually feel the pain of the person involved?

It hurt me to listen almost as much as it hurt her to relive the experience in her mind. And just then, it occurred to me:

I could FEEL. It felt good to FEEL. After a long day of not feeling anything, being completely detached from feelings so to speak, it actually felt good to feel my mother's revivified pain.

On a deeper level, it made me feel as though i was still HUMAN. It made me realize that i still can connect with people and i can still feel things.

You might be asking yourself " what's your point, Amir?"

Here's my point:

Even the "bad" feelings are good, because they tell us that things aren't as they should be, or more specifically, as we would LIKE them to be.

The bad feelings might suck, but they make the awesome feelings even more awesome, wouldn't you agree?

The "sucky" feelings help us appreciate the awesome feelings.

The sucky feelings are like alert system, letting know that we might need to change some things.

The next time you feel sucky, run yourself a warm bath and sit in it and relax. Get out of the house if you can and find some new scenery. Get some exercise. Hey, you can even have a beer with some friends.

Hope this helps anyone,

Amir

what to do when you're bored

When you're bored, you should...

DO SOMETHING?

Yeah, i know it sounds really simple, and it really is as simple as it sounds.

Have you ever been so bored that you just sit there, looking into space, just sitting there and looking, your mind is seemingly blank...

That's our cue to find something else to occupy our attention.

Idle hands truly are the devil's playthings. You can get into trouble if you have nothing "better to do". You can also have lots of fun, if you know how.

How do you do that?

Well...

I usually ask myself:" What could i do right now that would be fun, or would make me feel good?"

Whatever answer pops up, i get up and i go do it. It's that simple.

What is it that you like to do that makes you feel all warm and tingly inside when you think about it now?

I'm sure you can easily think of that right now and see yourself doing, hear yourself doing, feel yourself doing it, right?

Now, i go into full detail on how to totally eliminate bordeom forever and increase your productivity beyond levels you can't yet imagine.

Does that sound like something that could serve you for the rest of your life?

Does that sound like something that you'd like to learn how to do it right now?

PS. I was totally freaking bored awhile ago and suddenly, mysteriously, the idea occurred to me that i should post this on my blog so that others can benefit from it. How awesome is that!!!! On a scale of 1-10, you tell me!!!

The only thing in life that truly sucks..

You can't stay in the shower FOREVER.

Have you ever gotten in the shower after a long hard day, and as you stand there, you can feel the heat from the warm water hitting your skin, and it feels really good.

The awesome thing about the shower is that longer you stay in there, the better it gets...

That feeling of relaxation grows as you close your eyes and think about whatever it is you normally think about while your in there.... Maybe you think back to the day you just had... or maybe you even think about what you're going to do this weekend..

The bathroom is now so foggy that you'd swear that someone left a window open and the fog mysteriously slipped in and invaded the bathroom....

Then, without warning... the unthinkable happens....

The hot water runs out!!! So you're standing there, fingers all wrinkled up like a pruney prune thing....

It just sucks:(

It's too bad someone has come up with a way to have that shower experience last forever...

Take heart people, because i'm working on it, and when i finally discover that secret, the world will be a better place, a happier more relaxed place.

"You'd make a awesome father:"

I hear this alot. I used to hate it. Nowaday,s however, whenever I don't here it, i'm frankly shocked and i wonder what the hell the problem is.

Iused to hear hating it because i always figured that a woman was calling "old", and i'm anything but. I'm a young straping lad, if i do say so myself. For some odd reason, i used to feel old hearing that.

The other night, as i was sitting in a hotle room in NYC at 5:00 in the morning with a really intelligent cutie and her bisexual friend who made it known that she planned to lure some some girls back to her room and show them her really neat adult toys, this compliment was given to me by the bisexual.

My first instinct was to cringe, because anyone whose "responsible" enough to be a father is a nice guy, and nice guys usually never get laid, if ever, through no fault of their own.

However, i realized in that moment as she stared at me with a little sparkle in her eye that it was a compliment. I realized in that moment that some part of her could sense that i had the qualities to FATHER A CHILD.

Men, if you're reading this, I want you to realize something very important: A man has the capacity to impregnate a incredible number of women, provided he's healthy, whereas a woman's capacity to bear children is limited, hence menopause.

Given this difference, women tend to be selective with those they choose to stick around and actually father the child. BIG DIFFERENCE. Impregnation vs. Fathering. Think about that when you get a chance to be alone, and i think you can see the difference.

There are woman out there who simply need a man to take care of the.... seed planting part of the arrangement. Once he digs a patch and drops 'em in, he can cover up the hole and be on his way for all she's concerned.

I never really sat down and though about it until recently. As i sat there, i looked back at all the time when a woman gave me that compliment, or even when a women asked me if i wanted kids or even to be married someday. Being the typical male, I would look confused and mentally think to myself:

"I really hope this chick isn't thinking we're gonna get married.."

Now, when i hear, i realize that she's thought about me and she's looked at me and she can see that i possess the qualities that these women look for in their ideal husband.

Guys, if you're listening, this is one of the highest compliments that a woman can ever pay a man, other than telling how awesome he is bed and proving it to him by showing him the soaked sheets...

If you're LIKE ME, a normally nice guy, then you might hear this alot, and if you're like i used to be, then you might feel weird. I'm hear to tell you that you should feel complimented, because that's what it is.

Not only that, but you also become aware of the fact that she does eventually want children and she does want to get married and you can decide what you want to do with that information.

Have fun having fun,

Amir

what would you do?

This morning, i woke up and found myself confronted with a moral dilemma... one of those agonizing questions that you mull over for what seems like eternity... I'm pretty sure you've experienced this before, haven't you?

I suppose we're all faced with those questions now and then throughout the course of our lives.... It's good mental exercise: " Do i take the red pill... or do i take the blue pill..."

Well...

Let me ask you this:

If you woke up tomorrow morning and you realized that something that you absolutely need to function properly in the day to day world, what would you do...?

I woke up this morning and found myself in that very situation....

I ONLY HAD ONE CLEAN SOCK!!!!

AAAAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!!

And, to make matter worse, i had class and, on top of that, i had to wear my "extremely worn in" running shoes to class!!!! With one sock!!!!

So, you know what i did? I put on those freaking smelly shoes.... and i went to class... with one freaking sock!!!!

AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

As i sat therei n class, listening to my cute professor( think Lois from "family guy"...) talk to us about diabetes and harping on the fact that our quizzes were HORRIBLE( She was pissed), all i could focus on was the feeling of my raw, clean, just washed foot, in that damp, smelly, extremely warm running shoe.

AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!

It was enlightening though, because i leaned some really neat stuff:

1) Humans can only focus on one thing at a time. While i was focusing on how cute and squinty my professors eyes get when she smiles, I wasn't noticing how rancid and defiled my foot was feeling...

It also brought up some very interesting questions in my mind:

1) How many things are there in existence that we are unaware, yet they didn't Exist" for us because we aren't yet aware of them? This goes for those feelings that you might be feeling yet you aren't aware of feeling them consciously. Make sense? Not yet?

I think dreams are our subconscious minds chance to make us aware of those feelings that we aren't feeling consciously.

Oh well....

Thanks for listening:)
