This is a demo of a exercise to help you develop explosive power and balance, so that you can be more agile and turn on a dime quickly.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPORsH2h2mo
If you're an athlete, then you definitely don't want more agility and quickness...
You want to make sure that you come down on the soles of your feet, so that the force your coming down with is being conducted properly.
Don't land on your heels:)
You'll notice that there is a slight pause in between each jump, and that slight pause is the portion of the motion when you can develop better muscle stabilization.
So, it's an explosive-balance training exercise.
You get to train for 2 adaptations at the same time. If that's not a time-saver, I don't know what is.
This is totally different from a pure plyometric jump, in which you jump repeatedly with no pausing in between reps.
If this looks like like something that you want to try and add to your current routine, then go for it.
Sincerely,
Amir

Pec loading for a stronger bench press!!!
Loading your muscles:
We all know that we should do it so that we'll have a much easier time with what resistance exercises we plan on doing.
Loading is essentially tensing the muscles to be worked to their max without, sort of like you would when you perform a dynamic tension exercise for your arms or for your legs.
As you should well know, time under tension is what helps muscle get stronger/exert more force ( along with manipulation of rest periods and other variables).
Now.
How can you load up your pecs so that you have an easier time pushing that barbell up to lockout or squatting a very beautiful squat?
You can do these things by holding yourself in a position that forces the muscle(s) to tense up.
In the case of the pectoral muscles, you can get those muscles to tense up when you are in the down position of a pushup.
In the case of a squat, you can do a wall squat and hold in the down position for a couple seconds, doing that a total of 10-12 times for 10-12 reps.
So, basically, it's a dynamic isometric loading stretch....
Check out the video below for more details:

This simple drill will warm up your hip flexors, joints, and activate your hand eye coordination!!
It's funny how you can find inspiration in the strangest places...
I was walking around the house and I was picking up some little pieces of trash.
Now.
If you don't know me, then you wouldn't know that I have this little....quirk.
Basically, when I'm walking around the house and I have no socks on, I'll grab any little pieces of paper or trash with my toes and bring my toes to my hands...
I figure, I've got these huge toes so might as well use them, right?
So anyway...
I happened upon this drill while scouting for floor-trash ( shoes on though):
I came a across a plastic bag from a recent video game binge and in natural fashion, i kicked it up with my feet, but...
Instead of grabbing it, I continued to kick it up into the air with my knees flexed, kicking the bag up into the air with the top of my feet.
After a few repetitions of this, it suddenly occurred to me that my hip joints were getting warmed up and my attention was focused completely on making sure that I was able to kick the bag back into the air.
EUREKA!!!
A simple drill for warming up your hip joints AND developing hand eye coordination!!!
I'll put up a video of this, so you're gonna wanna watch this space for that...
Sincerely,
Amir
