Is there a connection between the two happenings?
I believe there is.
There are tons of books on the market that have turned dating and meeting people into a exact science.
Some of them are excellent resources...
Some of them just suck...
In the best ones, the principle of Progression is key in becoming a lady's man/ man's chick.
For example, many people are a bit shy when it comes to meeting someone they find interesting.
That's cool. I think we all feel certain things when we see someone that catches and holds our attention.
Then you have those thoughts or suggestions running around in your mind. They can either cause you to walk over and make a connection...
Or they can cause you to run out of the room, with your armpits drenched in stinky... stinkness.
The good books on dating will lead the reader through a series of exercises that are designed to gradually develop productive habits when it comes to meeting people ie actually walking over to the person and having a actual physical conversation with said person versus...
having an imaginary interaction in which you are rejected out right by your interest.
See the difference?
Being a Personal Trainer, i can't help but notice the connection between becoming more outgoing and exercise progression.
You have to start where we are at.
No one starts out lifting weights reserved for experienced powerlifters ( unless they are natural string and have a high number of fast twitch muscles in the muscle group being used...)
No one starts out being shy and then instantly is walking around with 4 gorgeous woman, one of each of the hottest races, one his arm and attached to different parts of his body...
It takes time, and it takes practice, and it takes repetition to reach that level of comfort with women/men.
You start where you are at, and you PROGRESS from there.
Can you see it now...
We all have our "sticking points" as they call it in a certain circle of people meeters...
The key is to target your own sticking points and find a way to overcome it/them..
Ask yourself:
"How can overcome this sticking point and turn it into a source of power?"
I wonder if you can apply that question to your current exercise routine...
Take Care,
Amir Campbell
